The Interview

1. Tell us a bit about C&M?

C&M Travel Recruitment were formed in 1998 and are the most established specialist travel recruitment company in the UK. Recruiting for all roles in the travel industry – including Travel Consultants, Product Executives, Marketing Managers, Heads of IT and Chief Executives – we have successfully placed thousands of candidates in travel jobs over the last 25 years.

2. Why did you choose to partner with SourceFlow?

After comparing a number of website developers over a series of weeks, we decided to go with Sourceflow for a variety of reasons, including their attitude and experience, enthusiasm for our project and the quality of their previous websites.

Also, we spoke to other members of The Recruitment Network to get their thoughts on Sourceflow and we received universally positive feedback about their experiences.

3. How did you find the delivery of your website?

We were in the fortunate position of having a relaxed deadline for when we wanted the website to go live. We simply wanted the website to be as good as possible before we switched everything over – and Sourceflow were fantastic in helping us achieve this.

We had a number of discussions about the look and feel of the new site, and we sent across various examples of other websites which we liked. Very shortly after, we received the first designs of our new site – and we knew we had chosen the right company to work with. We wanted a bright, engaging, user-friendly website which made it as easy as possible for candidates to find and apply for relevant jobs – and that's exactly what Sourceflow delivered.

And when it came to the go live date, the switchover to the new website was seamless.

4. How did you find the team to work with?

Helen and Callum were both a pleasure to work with. Friendly and easy to talk to, they both immediately understood what we wanted to achieve, and offered great suggestions to help us create the best website possible. Whenever we asked for any small alterations to the website, the team got back to us quickly and made the changes in a short timeframe.

5. What are you most pleased with during this project?

The goal of the new site was always very simple - to create a clean website that allowed candidates to find details of relevant jobs as easily as possible, and then be able to apply for the roles in as few steps as possible. Sourceflow completely delivered this.

We also love that the site gets better all the time. For instance, when we were discussing various features that we wanted on the new site, we asked if we could have a radius search on the job search page, but we were told this wasn't something that Sourceflow could currently provide. However, shortly before the website went live, we were told that Sourceflow had been developing this feature behind the scenes and that it could now be added to the site!

In addition, we are regularly being told about various other features and additions which are soon to be made available, so we look forward to seeing how our site grows in the coming months and years.

6. What’s next for C&M?

Last year was our busiest year ever - so more of the same please! Alongside the new website, we also created a brand new logo earlier this year, so this marks a new stage and complete refresh for C&M.

Recruitment in the travel industry is always candidate-led, so we're aiming to do all we can to help attract the sector's best talent – including launching our new website, sponsoring industry events, investing in new recruitment tech, and hosting travel recruitment and HR seminars.
